Answer:	I have wide feet and got these in 10 wide and they’ve been perfect. I walk miles a day as a dog walker and they’re the best shoes I’ve found. I’m a C width, though, so they might be tight on a D width foot.

Answer:	I live in Idaho, which stays pretty cool, but even my feet were hot, walking in the summer in these. These are better for Spring/Fall. I'm not sure how they would do in a really cold winter because I haven't tried them, but according to the other answer, one poster said you should stay pretty warm. I'm not sure about the summer, though. They may make your feet sweat, which would not be good.

Answer:	I would submit that the “sharp object” requirement would disqualify these from the CSA classification.
Question:	How are they in cold weather
Answer:	Actually, this would be a terrible choice. I experimented with the brand in the fall in NYC. Direct sunlight in 60° F weather led to intensely heated and uncomfortable feet. Choose something else if you want protected feet during any outdoor work!
Question:	Are this shoes made in Vietnam
Answer:	Yes. When I shop in person, I buy side 10. (My left foot is a tad bigger than my right). This is especially true with steel toed boots. These were no exception. I have 3 pair of steel toed boots. The pair I was wearing cost $30 and the most expensive pair cost over $150. They are ok. They do the job. I have a bunion from the cheap pair and the “high” end pair suffocate my toes. I have never had a pair of work boots I look forward to wearing like these work safety boots. My feet love them and they work as well as any other pair I have ever owned. The comfort and ease of on and off is a plus. Only con I can find is that they are not “hard material” around the foot like on the top. However, they are thick enough to still provide some cushion if an object falls or lands on the top of your foot. Like I said before, I would not wear these in a harsh “Steel mill” environment, Comfort level is twelve out of ten. Best boot I have ever owned and unless they start to unravel soon, they are the best value I have seen. Size is true for me.

Answer:	I wear mine all the time. Warm enough for cold weather, but not too warm for warm weather. Obviously not something you would want to wear on the hottest day of the year, though.

Answer:	if you wear wide size, do yourself a favor and go up a size. 10.5 wide were painfully tight and I have never had a shoe described as wide fit this poorly. I would hate to see what the regular width might be as the wide was WAY more narrow than anticipated

Answer:	You're going to want to sun dry them for several hours. Lets say it takes 6 after 3 hours put fabric softner sheets in the front like 2 or 3 each. Also it would be good to wash them. Let them sit in a bucket of warm water with some non damaging soap (use a old toothbrush to clean the nooks and crannies). This process takes 1.5 days one day to clean .5 to dry.
Question:	Are these completely waterproof as in can reach ankle high water and are these good for hiking

Answer:	I have found they run 1/2 a size small for me. Most boots I wear 10 1/2 but Columbia's always 10s. I only buy thier boots online because I never have an issue with size across all thier styles. I'd suggest trying on some in a store to get the correct size....ofcourse buy there unless you plan on ordering from Columbia over n over like me.
