Question:	Can you fit an orthotic comfortably in this boot. what is the measurement for the calf of a size 8 boot
Answer:	Yep, I took out the insoles and replaced them with the insoles I currently use. Those are from Heel That Pain. Best insoles ever. I don't know the calf size, but they are wider than normal boots. I love them.
Question:	are the soles replaceable
Answer:	I seriously doubt the soles on these could be replaced. They are nice boots and comfortable, but pretty much disposable like everything now. Sad but true.
Question:	Do these fit the same as the Merrel Buckle Down boots
Answer:	Don’t know but I can tell you the first pair of these fit nicely for me with bunion problems: room in toe area, bit loose in the heel. Wanted a second pair but they were too tight & had to return them. Conclusion: inconsistent sizing.

Answer:	These boots fit close to your ankle and right above it. I think half chaps would fit. Maybe go to a store that stocks half chaps & these boots and check it out.

Answer:	I think that depends. The toe area is wide. I’m a 9 1/2 and thought I could go a 1/2 size smaller. I use these for when I’m at the stable because they slip on easy. I tried to do a short hike and they were not comfortable. But for mucking out stalls and general stable chores they work well. I know the ad says something like “cute with skirts” but these are more work boots for me.

Answer:	I have close measurements to you but at a little shorter (5’3”) and 30” waist at about 140 I got a small and they are good but a tad long for me so I think would fit your height good.

Answer:	My personal favorite I learned in my youth is to wear two pair of socks the first lighter than the second this way any movement is between the two socks and not rubbing on your heel or the boots heel . Also make sure your mid arch laces are tight your feet and your boots should move as one and if your heel is rubbing it may be your boot is too big size is everything when it comes down to wearing a pair of work boots 8-10 hours a day . And if the boots are a half size too big the two pair of socks will help . I hope this helps good boots are a must . Walk on sister

Answer:	If your are 5''3 tall like me, it could feel heavy. It will defenitivly muscle your ankle. To prevent the rubbeness pressur on your back ankle, I wear them with big socks. It feel smoother, when i walk.

Answer:	Sorel lists the boot shaft circumference for size 7 at 14.5 inches. Using that as a baseline, you can add or subtract 3-4 cm per half size for an approximation. The gore has some stretch to it, but does not add much more to the circumference.
