This spot measures roughly 8 inches in diameter at 3 feet, and maybe 2 feet in diameter at 10 feet. For what it's worth, I carry one of these everywhere, and has been very helpful to my aging eyes. With intermittent use, the single AAA can go a week or two (maybe more). Love these! Don't know if I helped at all, but I gave it my best shot.

Answer:	I measured mine at home with a lux meter app over a fixed area and did some calculations to find that it puts out roughly 600 lumens on the highest setting, which is consistent with the estimate of 10 watt LED = 40 watt incandescent bulb = 600 or so lumens. If you're wondering whether that's good, bad, in-between... It's not 1000 obviously but it's definitely in the range of tactical/defense flashlights, and is great for this price and size. For reference, most cheap flashlights for everyday indoor use are under 100, most camping/outdoor flashlights that aren't "tactical" or otherwise unique fall in the 100 - 400 range, a 75-watt bulb tends to be around 1100, and a single car headlight tends to be around 1300. Answer:	The recommended battery is a 18650. But you can also use 3 RECHARGEABLE AAA's (NiMH). The 18650 is the better choice... but needs to be HIGH QUALITY and PROTECTED. Don't buy cheap crap with a fake capacity.

You must understand that these are CHEAPLY-made, GENERIC products. Usually when THESE types of lights are given a lumen value in the description...it's completely overstated with the intention of impressing, and selling to, consumers who know NOTHING about LED technology! In most cases, sellers stopped putting the output on the product page, because some people were getting wise to it. This entire practice is the exact OPPOSITE if you buy good quality flashlights. With those from brand names, like Olight, Jetbeam, Nitecore, Klarus, Lumintop, Astrolux, Convoy, etc.... the lumens are ALWAYS listed, and they're CORRECT! Answer:	I do not own this light, but a comment was made you would need to buy a $200 flashlight to light up the Boeing at 130 feet. I would suggest you try MAG D cell LED flashlights. They are not pocket size but will set you back less than $30 and will throw a bright beam well over a 100 yards. IMO MAG is probable one of the few that rate their output in a straight forward manner. The 3 D cell LED will throw a beam 412 meters/1351 ft./450 yards and is rated at 168 Lumens. But MAG will truthfully tell you the light output at that distance is equal to a very bright full moon. You likely will not see a missing rivet.
Question:	Does the dynamo last a long time? I know that handle usually wears out quick on phone chargers
