Question:	Why does it smell so bad
Answer:	Good question... The color of the treat isn't 'basted' color, like some bones are with a colored liquid flavor. I rinsed a new bone under water and no color came off on a white paper towel when I dried it. I gave the bone to my dog and checked pieces of the bone when he was chewing it. Of course, there was his saliva on them, but I could not detect any color that came off . My dog has a light muzzle and feet and he doesn't get discolored from heating the bone.
