The manufacturer is probably being excessively cautious in stating the obvious, especially for Amazon customers who are prone to spontaneous combustion. The two dark blue bathrobes I purchased washed and dried beautifully. I am not aware of any chemical treatments nor did I smell any kind of chemical treatments or chemicals. Suffice it to say, Anne, I think the shrewd Amazon buyer would be wise to "keep away from fire" any clothing apparel purchases.

Answer:	I'm surprised people are saying an s/m works for them as I see the women responding are about my size. 5'4" tall, 128 lbs. This s/m is HUGE!! My estimation is it's the size of a man's robe medium/large, or even XL in US sizing charts. If I hadn't packaged it up already to return, I'd measure the chest size, however, measuring it folded, it's at least 48" chest.
