12 best 3m liquid bandages

3M Liquid Bandages are a type of medical adhesive product designed to provide wound care and help protect minor cuts, scrapes, and abrasions. These liquid bandages offer a convenient and effective alternative to traditional adhesive bandages and can be particularly useful in situations where regular bandages may not adhere well or provide the desired level of protection.

Here are some key features and benefits of 3M Liquid Bandages:

  1. Liquid Form: Unlike traditional bandages that come in a solid form, liquid bandages are applied as a liquid and then dry to form a transparent, flexible, and waterproof barrier over the wound.

  2. Protection: The liquid bandage forms a protective layer over the wound, which helps keep out dirt, germs, and water, reducing the risk of infection and promoting faster healing.

  3. Breathability: Despite forming a protective layer, 3M Liquid Bandages are breathable, allowing oxygen to reach the wound, which can aid in the healing process.

  4. Flexibility: The dried liquid bandage is flexible and conforms to the contours of the skin, making it suitable for use on joints and areas where traditional bandages may not stay in place.

  5. Quick Drying: Liquid bandages typically dry within minutes of application, providing fast and convenient wound protection.

  6. Waterproof: The waterproof nature of 3M Liquid Bandages means that they can be used in wet environments or during activities such as swimming or showering without losing their effectiveness.

  7. Transparent: The liquid bandage is clear, allowing for easy monitoring of the wound's healing progress without the need to remove the bandage.

  8. Easy Application: Applying liquid bandages is often as simple as brushing the liquid over the wound using an included applicator or a cotton swab.

It's important to note that while 3M Liquid Bandages are suitable for minor wounds, they may not be appropriate for larger or deeper injuries that require medical attention. Always follow the product's instructions and consult a healthcare professional if you have any doubts about the severity of a wound or how to properly care for it.

User questions & answers

Question: In what country is this manufactured
Answer: I can't tell you - information not on bottle and don't have packaging anymore. It is a good product.
Question: would this work on a cracked nail
Answer: I use the regular New-Skin Liquid Bandage, 1 Ounce for cracks on nails and it works pretty well. I actually figured this out one day when my nail cracked in the middle of the nail bed (ouch!) and it was impossible to rip the nail off without being in severe pain. So I had a 'lightbulb' moment and crabbed my New-Skin Liquid Bandage and painted it on my nail (it has a brush just like a nail polish brush) and covered my nail in it, 2 applications. 2 weeks later my nail grew long enough to where I was able to file it down with no pain at all. Now, I use the New-Skin Liquid Bandage for nail cracks (natural nails) so I can give my nail an extra week or two to grow out to where I can file it down to the same length as my other nails! Just be careful when doing the dishes or washing your hair so as to not bend your nail too much.
Question: is this bottle smaller than 1.0 fluid oz
Answer: yes it is smaller than 1.0 fluid ounce ....Its .24 Fluid ounces thats approx 1/4 fl ounce........Ive used this product for the past couple years and a bottle does last a long time and it really works
Question: Wondering about texture? Does it feel more like gripping rubber or slippery? For dog that slips, falls (he'd be unable to lick it off
Answer: PLEASE DON'T USE ON YOUR PUP!!!!! Tea tree oil is highly toxic to dogs, & is one of the main ingredients in this to kill any bacteria. Typically if a dog is slipping there is usually a reason that can be resolved. The most common & the 1st thing you should check is the hair around the pads of his feet too long creating a barrier between the floor & his actual pad. If that has been checked & ruled out then his pads may have lost some of there resiliency, which is super common for aging dogs, & this causes them not to have the gripping effect they once had. All you need is some paw butter "The Blissful Dog Paw Butter" (This is the best kind I have used& less than $9 an oz) https:/9/www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TS4831W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You will just take a little bit & warm up on your palm, then just put the pad right into your palm & massage in, then you just repeat for 3 more paws. This will heal & rejuvenate even the worst most damaged paws. They won't heal overnight but even severely damaged paws can be near perfect in less than a week with 1-2 applications a day, & if you want to speed the healing even more... after applying the paw butter just put some socks over his paws for about an hour afterward to keep him from licking (which won't hurt him if he does, cuz it isn't toxic) but it's better if it all absorbs. I know you didn't ask for all this information, but I hope it helps you & anyone else that has the same idea/problem. I am not a licensed vet, but I have been in the dog profession for over 30 years grooming & showing dogs, so I have done a lot of research over the years to make sure that everything I use on other peoples pups is as natural & safe as possible, but also does a great job. The same company that makes the paw butter also has a nose butter that has transformed crusty cystic noses that vets have said needed surgery to fix. I use them on my 3yo Australian Shephard once a week just to maintain her perfect pads & nose...prevention is key.

User questions & answers

Question: can this be used for dogs
Answer: I use it on my dogs for stubborn hotspots and cuts. It does sting so they hate it but if I blow on it till it dries, then it makes a good seal that keeps pesky flies off (due to smell) and lets the skin finally heal. Make sure you trim the hair around the area first and clean as much of the pus/oozing off first. I like the fact that the antiseptic would kill more germs before sealing the area. Good luck
Question: what would be considered a small cut
Answer: I would use it on a shallow cut..
Question: Can you put this on over ointment
Answer: No. Ointment is petroleum based. it wouldn't stick to your skin .
Question: Expiration Date
Answer: I through the box out. Sorry. I didn't see an expiration date on the bottle. Just a lot number. I use it for bowling. Since you can't put a bandaid on and bowl with that finger. It seems to always work. It always seals up the area so dirt and oil don't get on my open cut.

Nexcare Tegaderm Waterproof Transparent Dressing, Film, The #1 Hospital Brand, 8 Ct, 2-3/8 In X 2-3/4 In

Low profile, this film dressing adheres to your skin to completely shield your injury from water, dirt and germs, while allowing your wound to breathe. • The #1 hospital brand
  • Provides protection to minor burns, scrapes, cuts, blisters and abrasions
  • Stays on skin for long periods of time with minimal skin irritation
  • Stays on during water activities, showering and bathing
  • Easy-to-apply and remove

User questions & answers

Question: How strong is the stickiness of this product? We have a toddler that loves to pick at a sore. She rips off band aids. Will this be hard to remove
Answer: They are very water proof, but they also are not painful to remove. I would say your child will easily be able to remove it. Have you tried putting Aquaphor on the sores. It is like vaseline that keeps the sore soft while healing. It minimizes the itch of a healing wound and might discourage the need to scratch and pick.
Question: Does the adhesive pull off easily from "thin skin
Answer: Yes, I use this product on my 85 year old Mom who has very thin skin.
Question: Is this product really waterproof
Answer: Yup! If you've ever tried the nexcare waterproof bandaids (that have the clear border) it's the exact same material that is surrounding the bandaids. It's a soft, super flexible material- nothing like a typical "bandaid." I liked the Nexcare waterproof bandaids but had trouble getting them to stick bc of the cushion part & this was the perfect solution! Same technology/material but only the sticky part. I hate wasting money on regular bandaids that never stick then get wet & you have to replace them like 10 times a day. These are awesome!
Question: The box says assorted and the description says one size can anyone tell me if this box is assorted sizes
Answer: They are all one size but can be cut to suit the size you need.

Nexcare Tegaderm Waterproof Transparent Dressing FAQs

The flexible and comfortable design lets you keep up with your favorite activity and you can wear this dressing for up to a week.

Are there any types of wounds you should not use these dressings for?

The Nexcare Tegaderm Waterproof Transparent Dressings are not intended for application over infected wounds or serious burns. Refer to package insert for complete cautions and instructions.

How do I remove a bandage/tape or dressing that will not release easily from my or my child's skin?

If a bandage is not easily releasing avoid pulling on bandage, instead work a little baby oil or cooking oil into the adhesive to help the bandage release from the skin. Or use ice (covered with a paper towel) for 5 minutes or less. Ice will make the adhesive brittle, which may cause it to release.

User questions & answers

Question: Are these sterile
Answer: Yes, Nexcare Waterproof Clear Bandages are sterile.
Question: What's the difference btween Nexcare waterproof bandages & Nexcare tegaderm waterproof bandages
Answer: They are both waterproof, but the difference is what they are: the waterproof bandages are "bandages" so small sizes like what we all use for minor cuts and small injuries. The tegaderm ones are dressing which are bigger in size to cover a big wounds, more like surgery wounds, usually to avoid getting wet when in shower. Just read the sizes! This is the reason why there are less tegaderm ones in 1 package.
Question: Are these latex free
Answer: These will still trigger a latex allergy, that is why they don’t specifically state latex free.
Question: What sizes are each of the bandages
Answer: OK, the package states "7/8" x 1 1/16" (40), 1 1/" x 2 1/2" (30, and 1 1/16" x 2 1/4" (30). The smallest ones are like the "spots" Bandaids, the middle size is great to wrap around a finger, and the largest are great for someone who has large fingers or a wound on a larger area, like the back of your hand. Love these things, they stay on (unless you fail to ensure a tight seal and get a wrinkle in the plastic).

You use this product by simply brushing the liquid onto the bad parts of the skin and watching it quickly dry. This liquid is also waterproof and does not sting when using. It also allows your skin to breathe freely and heals your dry skin.

  • Seals painful skin cracks

User questions & answers

Question: Could this be used for cracked skin in inner groin area
Answer: There isn't an expiration date. The product may get thick after a lot of exposure to air, but it still works!
Question: Is this any different from the "liquid bandage" products such as new skin or skin shield? those really sting when applied to an open cut
Answer: I think this is better than New Skin. It seems the tea tree might make a difference. We use it on torn cuticles, broken nails and on my childes peeling finger tips (rare weird skin condition) to protect them from becoming too raw. In all cases it helps the skin heal and offers pain relief. When my daughter torn her nail off into the cuticle, we painted this on the exposed area and it greatly reduced her pain. We love this stuff. Best of luck.
Question: What are usual expiration date from the date of purchase
Answer: No. No pain!
Question: Is this different from new skin? new Skin tends to just dry the who thing out and make it worse? I am in pain but don't want to buy it if it is same
Answer: The box has a phone #800-364-3577 It does not state it is a antiseptic. You spray it on a wound and it creates a coating which helps it heal from within. I use two coatings and it will not form a scab as long as you keep it coated. I think it works great.
