Question:	What is the inside width of each shoe space
Answer:	4-3/4 inches from brush tip to brush tip but the inside brush fibers flex in another 1/2 inch plus when a boot is being wiped. I wear size 12 boots & this boot scraper does a good job of removing moderate dirt from the sides & tread. If you just exited a muddy hog wallow & did not hose your boots off this boot scraper might not work for you.

Answer:	I used these to get to a 2. There was a period of time where the hole seemed to "plateau" and didn't want to stretch. But I just pushed them tight very slowly and gently, not aggressively and eventually they stretched. These occasionally slip and loosen but I found them to work best.

Question:	The coco fibers look similar to some door mats, where the fibers come off and settle all around the mat. Does that happen to this scraper
Answer:	It does wear down, but it takes a long long time. We had one for years before we needed to replace it thru Amazon. A few fibers might come off, but it's nothing like those mats that youre talking about. It works well, so we always pack it up in our trailer when we go camping & use it then too.

Answer:	while there are 6 inches between the wood pieces, there are only 4 inches between the side facing portions of the brushes. the flat surface is 10 inches long.

Answer:	there are screws on the four corners, but they're recessed into the wood enough not to be a problem. There are small nails holding the slats on and they aren't a problem, but over time I could see where there is potential to work themselves loose. I guess if you were extremely worried about the floor, this might not be a good fit. We have ours on cement and really think it does a good job.
