Answer:	Small depth in tread. Not enough to really collect a lot of mud. Also has a deeper groove in heel, again not really deep enough to collect a lot of mud. Both are just enough to give a skid proof step. Very nice boot

Answer:	Yes made in China, I still think you can tromp around with no worries. But I get it, made in America still means something

Answer:	I went with the same shoe size which worked out fine lengthwise but I do wish that my size had been available in a W fitting. I had to get mine stretched because they were too tight across the top as I have high insteps. Also there can sometimes be a variation from one manufacturer to another in the same size and fitting. Sorry to appear vague but it really depends on your own feet and how well these boots match the shape of them, much more so than with a pair of lace up shoes which allow plenty of adjustment. So you may have to be prepared to order more than 1 pair in order to get the perfect fit then return the ones that don't fit. Also worth knowing; your feet are not identical!

Answer:	Yes, they are real leather.. So, when ordering depending on your shoe size they may be snug at first, but should loosen up over time. Also, I recommend treating them with a good waterproofing cream before wearing.

Answer:	I ordered my usual shoe width of 2E. My boots are new; so they're still a bit snug. I'm wearing thinner socks until mine are more broken in. They are comfortable to me.

Be sure to google how they should feel when you try them on new, like where they should be snug and where the toe should flex when you walk.

Answer:	Yes, they are fully leather lined with what appears to be calf, goat or deer skin (not a synthetic leather or fabric) driving glove-like leather...very comfortable. They also added a heavier cowhide reinforcement patch around the inner rear seam between the upper and rear lower, where boot linings often begin to wear and separate over time. As an airline pilot, I bought these boots as daily uniform boots. I’m often in them for 15-20 hours per day for 10-15 days in a row. These are probably THE most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned, even compared to my $$$ Luccheses and Tony Lamas. They also have a composite shank, rather than a steel shank and no nails, so they can be worn through TSA metal detectors without issue. They’re also a very nice looking daily dress boot that look, feel and wear like a very high dollar boot. My only complaint of these boots is the Made in China stamp on the inside.
