Answer:	I returned this product because it stopped working. What is the temp in your tank and how long has the heater been in? If the light won’t go off but the temp is too low or high there is something wrong.

Answer:	Hi, for keeping high accuracy, the temperature sensor is designed near the water level mark, so you need to setup the heater under water fully----at least you need to make sure the water level mark is under water fully. If it is out of water, it means the detective sensor always detect the air but not the water, then it always finds the temperature still not reach what you want, then it keeps heating.
