If you have trouble opening it check that the lid is on straight and not on an angle. If its on an angle it may be cross threaded which is a rare occurrence. I have not regreted buying it since a one. And I am sure I will continue to buy it. At first I purchased the smaller jar trying it out. This will be my 3rd jar and it was the larger jar.
