In the case of a catastrophic failure they would have to prove it was responsible. I couldn't get a Mopar one on account of the new vented hood was right above the element. Volant makes two types so I got the one that is covered. I hope this helps. By the way, it is a nice unit, fits perfect and makes a nice sound. |

| Answer: | Tuning WILL void your Warranty. Putting gummout in your gas will void the warranty. I was told by the service manager you can change the intake with a k&n air filter and you can change your exhaust system like I changed mine to a flowmaster which actually got a mileage increase. They also told me that there is an additive that you can add to both your gas and oil called Seafoam which you can get at any auto parts store, I got a gallon at Auto Zone. I even put it in my John Deere Diesel Tractor. Also Ford does something very stupid, the use a blend of oil when they do your oil changes. Why would you put synthetic oil into your engine and taint it with a quart of standard oil that breaks down and burns from the heat of the engine. Full synthetic does NOT break down and looks exactly like you put it in 5,000 miles. I recommend that you flush your oil and run Full synthetic oil. I had to fight with them about adding a clause in my 6year warranty, but they finally agreed. Just think of it if standard breaks down from heat and burns, it also has small particles in your oil which scratches the inside of your engine causing power loss and eventually engine problems. |
