Answer:	I'm about 5'11" and it's a few inches above my ankles also I'm a tad bit chubby and it still closes nicely. Both half's go across my chest to the opposite side. Bur I got the 3XL so it depends on the on the size you get.

Answer:	I am 5'7" and this robe comes down to my ankles. I have one in XL and one in L. I would peg the XL as 54" length and the L at about 53 or 53.5. That would be consistent with other robes whose length I know. Even though I am not large I prefer the XL because it is wider and I like the extra coverage, but of course that's a personal preference. But long men's robes are hard to find and you will not find a man's robe longer than this, trust me. Nor a woman's either, most likely. If you are taller than six feet of course you will have a different experience, but hey, what do you expect?

The result fits me like a tent, but it has the advantage of coming down to my ankles and draping down almost over my hands. For lounging around home, I'm comfortable wrapping a tent around myself and being adequately covered, instead of having a better fit but maybe not quite enough material for ankles and wrists. But others may prefer the look and feel of a better fit. (Some numbers: Product page says S/M has 6" less height and 1" less sleeve length than 1XL/2XL (and the excess width of the XL size effectively (and clumsily) increases that sleeve length).)
