Answer:	I just measured. At the ends of the cross-bar, the distance from the ceiling on mine is 16 1/4 inches. (This includes the foam covering.) That is the max distance from the ceiling. The minimum distance of the cross-bar is 13.5 inches. (Top of the foam covering near where the bar joins the shafts to the ceiling.) The two handles that stick out perpendicularly are from about 12 to 13 inches from the ceiling. Hope this helps.

Answer:	15.5 inches from the ceiling to the top of the bar, plenty of room and I'm 6'3". I highly recommend this, works great.

Answer:	I believe that info is listed in the product decription...but I am 100% sure it supports at least 250 lbs. It has 4 screws...and I have ceiling storage racks that support 600 lbs..and those use about 8 screws...so 4 screws = 300 lbs. for sure....so 250 lbs. is a safe bet. I weight about 225-235.....and use it all the time.

About Allen Sports

Dick Allen (pictured left in 1972) started Allen Sports in his garage in 1967. Since its founding, the company has been committed to producing the highest-quality, easiest-to-use bike racks and bicycle related products on the market. Dick, a onetime aerospace engineer, opened Allen Sports after building a prototype bike carrier in his Lincoln, Massachusetts shop in his free time. The first ever trunk-mounted bicycle carrier-made of electrical conduit, metal strapping, and fire hose casings (for padding) - was refined on weekend excursions to Cape Cod. Shortly afterward, Allen took his design to market, and by 1971 had established a national presence for his product.
