I bought the product to use on my hot tub, and based upon my research I will have to drain my hot tub in order to be able to scrub off the scale under the water line. I can say definitively that this product did help to soften the scale under the water line and should make it easier to scrub off before rinsing and refilling my hot tub.

Answer:	16 oz. is way too much. My tub is 360 gallons and I use 2 tablespoons when I do my weekly routine service.
