Answer:	They have an open pocket each side (no zipper). They are not deep, they just about cover my hand with my fingers extended. I really don't feel putting keys in them. Russell used to make pants with a zippered pocket, they are still shown on-line but haven't been in stock for months unfortunately. They are also made of slightly heavier material, better for a cold winter.

I LOVE these pants. I use them for gym/ playing racquetball and a lot of times just to wear around the house. Not too loungish that I can’t wear them for the occasional errrand. I bought two more pairs and will probably get more. Also durable, I slide on my knees a lot playing racquetball and there isn’t even a noticeable mark on the material.
