Answer:	It is 14" wide. 13.5" is the limit for international size that I found published too, so I fretted about that before my trip to Italy, but I did not have any issues. I ended up really loving the bag too. (You can find slightly smaller bags configured for carrying on portable office stuff, but there is space wasted on padding for a computer.) I did travel on KLM with no issues with this bag and they list the 13.5" limit on their website. No one checked the size of my bag. It fit great in the KLM overhead bins and I really appreciated the light weight because those bins sure were high up. I spent a lot of effort looking for a good bag, and I remain very happy with my purchase after using it.
