I haven't checked mine but I see on mine an "oz" on the top right - next to where you might find your "44" ... which signifies you are weighing at ounces vs grams, not necessarily that you have 44oz. Look more closely because you may actually have an accurate scale. Hope this helps and not too late of an answer.

Answer:	1/4 of a pound. It’s very light. But don’t buy it. It is difficult to use on heavier suitcases and items because it doesn’t lock in the actual weight while item is suspended. The lights items can suspend without moving but the heavier items have a tendency to rock slightly and the scale can’t be still enough to register an exact weight so it goes to zero. If you are using it for luggage just forget it. Horrible.
Question:	Could this be used to test a bow draw weight
Answer:	Try opening it up, removing and cleaning the battery, and put it back. I'll bet it will be fine. This happened to me about a year ago and it's still fine. Mine is a couple years old and still fine. Battery type CR2032.

Answer:	The answers below are correct. It displays lbs in decimals. What wasn't shared was how helpful this product is. It has always matched the weigh in at the counter within 3 decimals. It can be trusted. My wife and I are off to Cuba. We are only allowed a total of 44 lbs that includes the carry on. So far we have each suitcase weighing in at 26 and 28 lbs respectively. I'll use up the remaining lbs with a few more items in the suitcase and dedicating the camera, cam cord, chargers, convertor and adaptors, ad travel paperwork (all heavier items relatively) to the carry on. For this trip, I will depend on and trust the Camry Electronic Luggage Scale as I have for my last 3 trips to South Africa, Egypt, and Patagonia. It kept me safely underweight each time. Question:	Does the weight stays on after putting whatever you're weighing down
Answer:	not in my case. I am actually going to replace it with another one where the weight stays on. Maybe there is a trick, but I tried, read instructions and could not find a way to keep the weight reading on, which is quite useful with heavy luggage

Answer:	No. Absolutely not. They’ll slide out of the harness once they’re off the ground, because of physics. Dummy. Just do it the old fashioned way on a bathroom scale

Answer:	You would take off the battery cover and replace a new 3V CR2032 lithium battery.

Answer:	I dont know if it has a tare feature or not. What I do know is that I weighed my suitcase at 48.5 lbs and the airport scale was the exact same weight. I love this little scale and it is accurate! Maybe the reviewer that said it was 10% inaccurate was not holding the luggage off the floor. Only problem I have with it is that I can not lift over 20 lbs. but my son can and I would buy this scale again!

Answer:	This device is awesome!!! You have to give it time to get the weight. It will bounce around then it will stop at the right weight. It has 2 functions for weight count up takes longer in my estimation. Weight difference is my favorite. In a few seconds it pulls the difference an you can drop that bag. Wise travel tip... take it with you on your trip especially if you plan on buying souvenirs.
