Answer:	Are you kidding? EVERYTHING has that warning label attached to it. In California, even beer requires a warning label. They have made that label essentially meaningless. According to the company's web site, "Rest assured that McKlein Company materials are in full compliance with federal safety laws and regulations. There is no risk in handling or using the bag for its intended purpose. However, we wouldn’t advise ingesting the materials. It is important to mention, that the warning label is required if even a trace amount of any one of the many chemicals on the California Proposition 65 warning list might be present."

Answer:	Hi - for me so far, it latches and stays latched fine without it being locked-it's not a hair-trigger at all. The caveat would be that there is some possibility of accidentally brushing against the latch (it's a pry-type from its top) and causing it to open. I never lock mine, but it doesn't "move around" a lot either. Hope this was helpful.
