Answer:	It's cowhide. Even if it was waterproof you NEVER leave full grain leathers like this in rain. This would 100% rot in less than 48 hours if you didn't dry it out. Most if not all leather satchel bags are going to be like this, so it's just something to live with when you use full grain leather products of any sort.

Answer:	Mine showed up without any need for conditioner at all. You will have to spread it out from the box though -- it comes in a flat amazon box. One thing you need to remember about full grain leathers like this is that not everyone is going to have supple leather. If you live in a dry arid climate you better expect to receive stiff leather, in which case you may need to apply conditioner immediately. It's completely natural and just something to live with when using full grain leathers.

Answer:	Had it for a day and one seem on the top handle caused the Leather to rip. Now the handle only has one side attached, however that one side is holding up well. Bag weighed 18lbs when the handle snapped mid lift (not all the weight was on the handle yet). Dealer is already working with me to replace the bag.

Question:	Does this bag have a tight fit so it won’t get thrown off that easily
Answer:	I would say the fit is snug but it depends on your body type, how much weight is in it and the position you're wearing it in.(on back or across chest in front). keep in mind this is a sling bag so it won't be as secure as a traditional 2 strap back pack, for example, I wouldn't wear this on my motorcycle. That being said this is a great, small, light duty/minimalist pack for when you're not carrying much but too much to jam in your pockets. I purchased this bag for walking my dogs, it fits a bottle of water, phone, keys, wallet, poop bags etc. It's not a large bag but very light and perfect for taking a handful of things, especially at that price. hope this helps!
