| Answer: | Think you had a few typos, but I will give you an answer. I keep a clear glass bowl beneath my bathroom basin and a bottle of Palmolive disinfecting dishwashing liquid. It says on the bottle that you combine 1 part dishwashing liquid to 20 parts water and soak anything for 30 seconds to disinfect. I do this with all of the parts of the Navage. You may also rinse the white part, which includes the lid and the pump parts with slits in them. I also run water through the hole where the nose piece normally sits, and this empties out the bottom as you rinse. The only area of this mechanism you are definitely not supposed to rinse is the bottom because that is where the batteries are hiding behind a tightly screwed in lid to keep them dry. After the 30 second soak, I then rinse each part, put a paper towel in or around and shake. This removes most of the water. I also run a fan to speed dry the parts. But, if you get the deluxe model that comes with a white stand, that is really a drying stand for allowing the parts to dry. Anyhow, I consider this VERY EASY to clean. Hope you purchase one. I have felt so much better since using it nightly. |

Additionally, you can spray or apply a diluted bleach solution onto the Nose Pillows and allow it to sit for not more than about five minutes. Then thoroughly rinse the areas with warm tap water. If you are able to put a cover over top the mailbox then it should do fine outside as it has a powder coated layer which helps to prevent rust. If you would like to put the mailbox outside without cover we recommend spraying a sealant on it before doing so and that way you will get additional protection against heavy weather; It is best to consult your local hardware/paint store to see what sealant works best with powder coated materials. If that's important to you, you might want to try the Kurgo (I was pretty happy with that one - though the pockets aren't as roomy and it's all one piece). FWIW, my dog pulls a lot and I found a pinch collar works pretty well. Believe it or not, combined with a retractable leash, he's much more manageable. He has more freedom and responds better to the pinch collar. I know that's not the "proper" way to walk a dog, but I'm happy if I can walk him without getting sore arms! |
