Answer:	The finished hole is about 7 3/8". The hole you cut in the door is about 8".
Question:	I am wanting to install this on a cabinet door that is less than a 1/2 inch thick. Do you think there is any way to may this work
Answer:	The cat pass through has a flange that acts as a 1 3/8 inch spacer. This adds support for installation on a hollow core door. Unless you were to add material to the installation area or perform a serious modification to the product, in my opinion it will not work on a 1/2 inch thick door.
Question:	Would use on door to the garage, what about the A/C or heat escaping? Possible to attach a flap or door
Answer:	This is designed for interior use. It will leave an opening. I would suggest a traditional pet door with a flap/insulation for what you want.

Answer:	Yes it is. I purchased the 3M brand and then some Bondo brand. The 3M is much easier to work with, the Bondo hardened up very quickly. I spread a layer on wax paper, then place the fiberglass cloth down and worded the short strand into the cloth, adding more on top. Then you can pickup the composite with the wax paper and place on the area needing patched. The wax paper allows you to smooth out and shape. Leave the wax paper on until it pulls off and leaves the fiberglass smooth. Hope that helps!
