Answer:	I can’t speak to the electronic specs, but it is definitely more heavy duty/sturdy. Anker makes quality chords that protect the weaker connection points prone to tear. It is slightly longer than the Apple version.

Answer:	I'm not familiar with "cat mate", but I can describe these filters for you so you can compare them. These are about 4" long, 2.25" wide and about .25" at the thickest point. They are soft filters, kind of like little pillows, with stitched edges that slide into grooves in the pet flow fountain. They are not enclosed in any kind of plastic or metal. Hope that helps.
