Answer:	enamel coatings dont have ptfe or pfoa - those are by-products of teflon production. Lodge and Le Creuset disclose their testing for heavy metals in their coatings.

Answer:	Dutch ovens are inherently good braisers. Now, "self-braising" makes me wonder if you meant "self-basting" perhaps? In a Dutch oven with a lid that has a divider or basting points (like many of the cast iron Lodge Dutch ovens do), steam will drip off those points and baste the meat inside. But for good braising, that is not necessary.
Question:	Is it a pop socket or just stuck to the case
Answer:	Never thought about seasoning the edge. We have not had a problem with rust, but we always make sure it is dry before we store it away. I do wonder if the high heat needed to season would damage the interior and/or exterior.

Answer:	My pot does not say China on the bottom, however the box says made in China.

Answer:	Based on my scale it is 8.35 lbs. (both pot and lid)

Answer:	I use it all the time on my glass cook top stove. I just make sure I position it right before I start cooking anything and don't drag it but lift it if I do need to move it. So far no scratches have happened on my glass top.

Answer:	Mine does not have the #22 on the bottom, but maybe the measurements of the pot will help you. Height 4 1/2 inches (11 cm), inside diameter at top of pot is 8 inches or 20 cm, and the bottom diameter is 7 1/2 inches (18.5 cm). I know that Le Creuset cookware has a number on the bottom, and I believe that corresponds to the diameter in centimeters. Perhaps that is what you are thinking of. Anyway, I use this pot a lot as it is a good size, and I am sorry that I did not have it until recently.

Answer:	To properly clean your pans, use a mild dishwashing detergent, warm water and a soft nylon brush or nylon scrub pad. If food remains on the non-stick surface, boil a mixture of three parts water and one part vinegar in your pan on medium heat for 5-10 minutes to dislodge food particles. Let it stand until cooled, then wash with warm, soapy water and a soft nylon brush, rinse and dry.
