Answer:	From what I've heard, the snowball does actually sound quite reasonably better. I suppose it'll have to be because of a number of reasons, 1 being that there's a $10-20 diffrence, and that this is marketed as a "Skype mic." I also believe that the blue snowball has wider diversity in colour. The blue snowball also features 3 different "modes" or polar patterns.First being a cardiod setting, a standard pickup pattern in most condenser mics, very handy. Mainly picks out sound in a heart shaped radius in front of the mic. Second setting is a cardiod, 10db pad. Good for loud sources, getting up close to the talent. The third and final setting is the omnidirectional setting. "Omni" meaning more than one, in this instance more than one direction. In this setting, the mic will pic up sound from all directions.doing so will loose some sound quality but maybe useful for recording a board meeting. Overall the blue snowball iCE is a great, compact usb microphone, for the tight budget market, or in other words a blue snowball, minus a few features and cheaper sound quality.

Answer:	Now you can anyways but only in the nt1 and nt1000. It still comes with a clip and dust cover just no shock mount and cable. Its just called RODE NT1 no -KIT at the end.

Answer:	Yes, you could definitely use this to record voice acting. Especially if you are recording from home. What you also need is an audio interface to record. I also suggest looking into the the Rode NT1 which is the newer version of this mic. Either one is a great mic. I own them both.

Answer:	Yes, this is a large diaphragm condenser microphone. The "large diaphragm" refers to the circular surface that you see behind the mesh screen of the mic. Large means a larger circular surface as opposed to a smaller circular surface. When you sing, rap, play instrument, etc. in front of the mic, the sound that you generate vibrates against the diaphragm creating the electronic signal that is transferred through the mic into your recorder or PA system (in live performances; although generally condenser mics are preferred in the studio while dynamic mics are preferred for live performances due to the sensitivity of condenser mics to loud sounds, i.e., live performances). The size of the diaphragm (in this case large) affects the clarity, volume, EQ, and general signal quality that you get. Large diaphragm microphones (LDMs) are generally the choice for studio vocals, and any instrument recording where a more "deep" sound is desired. A large diaphragm microphone generally warms up the sound of what it's recording, which also leads to the myth that most LDMs reproduce low frequencies better than small diaphragm mics; this isn't true, in fact, small diaphragm mics are much better at reproducing everything evenly, including bass. You'll want a pop screen if using a condenser microphone for vocals; they're so sensitive to transient noises that the "P" and "SH" sounds you make will cause distortion. Small diaphragm microphones (SDMs) are generally the best choice where you want a solid, wide frequency response and the best transient response, which is the ability for your microphone to reproduce fast sounds, such as stringed instruments. Answer:	You do not "need" a shock mount as the V67G comes with a hard mount, later on down the road you may want to upgrade to one. Phantom power is just power that is sent over a mic cable to power the mic. It usually comes from an audio interface or mixer. So yes, you would need a Mixer or an Audio interface to use this.
Question:	Is this mic better than the audio-technica at2035 large diaphragm studio condenser microphone
Answer:	My opinion, both Mics are entry level studio quality. The Audio Tech is a solid mic, it is a better quality built, the MXL has that crisp high's sound. So MXL wins on sound quality, but few adjustments on your DAW, and Audio Tech sounds very similar But If you check out the "level up" MXL mics like the MXL 550/551R Microphone Ensemble, is little more expensive than MXL V64g. My opinion, the Audio Tech is a famous brand. Similar level, I can't say its better.. but i will always choose the MXL brand over any HOME use mic. In studio, I prefer the Rode Mics for my voice.
