I bought my first Eddie Bauer Luxury White 400 TC Damask Dot Down Blanket a bit over a year ago and have washed it weekly (and sometimes twice weekly) ever since. I have Persian cats (long-haired cats that shed constantly) who insist on sleeping with me, so when the blanket gets as furry as the cats it goes into the wash, hence it's weekly washing. It has held up remarkably well. Of course, for longevity I wouldn't recommend weekly washing in a washing machine and drying in a hot dryer like I do, but despite my weekly or twice weekly abusive washing and drying of this blanket it has held up remarkably well. I love this blanket so much that I have now purchased my 3rd blanket for my home. And note, this is a truly over-size blanket with a beautiful drape. |
