IMO this should have been a new device on Amazon with new questions and answers.

Answer:	Actually, it is supposed to be 2.4 amps per port, not 2.4 volts. It should fast charge Samsung devices it that's really the case, but it does not.

Answer:	These chargers draw such little power when the phone/device is not plugged into them. I have a couple in my Grand Cherokee that say “on” 24/7. No problem for the battery to run that small amount of current, milliamps when they’re not charging something. Also, it is handy to have the charge port available at all times, so that you don’t have to have the car running or at least “turned on” in order to charge your phone. Don’t worry about these things killing your battery unless you don’t drive for like 2 or 3 weeks at a time. 3 day weekend is still no problem.
