However, the Deep Cleansing bar was reformulated to be more friendly for sensitive skin (https://store-dg79g.mybigcommerce.com/discover-cetaphil/bar-soap-faq/). Their website recommends the Deep Cleansing bar for Normal Skin, and the Gentle Cleansing Bar is recommended or Dry, Very Dry, and/or Sensitive Skin. I think I might try the deep cleansing one, since they removed triclosan and triclocarbon, ingredients that may have been responsible for my no longer active eczema. Answer:	I bought this soap and it arrived in closed box but with the plastic covering was unwrapped and half the product was missing. The product I received is half pound not not one pound. Seller does not accept returns. I am using it but it is not effective.

Answer:	Hi Max, The pH for our soap is between 9.8 and 10.4 A true natural bar soap will always have a high pH level. Natural soaps contain a pH level around 9-10 and have a healthy free fatty acid and triglyceride content. Studies show that free fatty acids help skin recover its natural pH balance faster. To say that a bar soap or cleanser must have a pH level that matches that of the human skin is not correct. Commercial brand soap companies spend millions on misleading advertising; it’s understandable why a consumer may question. A marketing war has ensued with the claim that “pH balanced” soaps are better for you but the companies making these mass-produced commercial products are actually selling detergents. These products are usually called: beauty bars, cleansing bars, body bars, etc. but they are not a true bar soap.
