Answer:	When you clean the razor in the base, some hair goes into the solution cartridge. I found that some collects in the base and needs to be wiped out or rinsed out when you change the cartridge. I have to do all this for my husband!

Answer:	Just rinse it under the sink while it’s turned on. You can also add a drop or two of hand soap before rinsing it under the sink. If you do pre-rinse the cutting head make sure you then use the cleaning station, as rinsing the cutting head in the sink removes all lubricant from the razor. The Braun cleaning solution is just alcohol and lemon oil, the lemon oil acts as a lubricant.

My only extra advice is that the automatic cleaner base broke after 2 years, but the plug goes directly into the shaver, which I now buzz into a glass of soap. And the sideburn shaver part broke off just this year, but the shaver still lasts for 10+ shaves / 6 weeks for a charge after all this time.

Answer:	OK everybody, get our your rulers with inches on one side and metric on the other side. Looks like 7mm is just a hair over 1/4 ", so 9/32 is probably correct. 12mm looks a hair under 1/2", so I think 15/32. The typo is the 1 is missing from 15 in 15/32.

Answer:	The question is referring to trimming the head hair (medium/heavy duty), as opposed to just facial hair (light/medium duty). Yes, this can be used to trim the hair on your head. I have one and I use it for that. In fact, that's the safest place to use it because if you're not careful, it'll draw blood on your neck/face should you let the cutting tines press against your flesh at too high an angle.

Answer:	Use the guards! I’m assuming you’re asking about a trim rather than a shave down. Trim with the guards on to shorten the hair and use a razor to shave it to a clean finish. Answer:	Well, this one is way more powerful than my previous "$18 wonder." It also lasts about 3X longer on a charge, and it has really useful attachments. Is it worth the extra $30? It is to me....your mileage may vary.

Answer:	Yes, it's made in Japan.
Question:	I just got this shaver (without a cleaning base) and in Manual I don't see any mention of putting oil on the blades. Does it need to be oiled
Answer:	I have been using foil shavers for about 60 years, I am now 76, and never used oil. When the blades cut whiskers they also stuff off some skin cells. I don't think it is healthy for the skin to put machine oil on it. You don't see this in the manual because it's not a good idea in my opinion.
Question:	Is this a super close shave? Because I do not like shavers that are not super close shaves
Answer:	Definitely super close shave. A great deal depends on the perfection of your technique: Use a small amount of moisture of any kind during the final minute or two so that the skin will bunch up/roll as the shaver head is pressed over it. This exposes the very roots of the whiskers to the cutters. The result is an ultra smooth shave easily the equivalent of the Gillette razor.
Question:	I always end up having problems with the cleaning station. Anyone have any issues with this model
Answer:	I've had two cleaning stations break on me, both times the pump stopped working. First lasted just ever a year. Panasonic wouldn't sell me a replacement, so the first time I had to send the razor+cleaning station back and they sent me a brand new razor+cleaning station as a warranty replacement. Such a waste, since there was nothing wrong with the razor itself. The second cleaning station stopped cleaning after less than a year. I'm not going to bother trying to replace it again, will just clean in manually.

Answer:	3/8.....if holes were more refined, I think 1/2 would fit....they are kind of a rough casting type hole....my problem was the washers I got at Home Depot were too big outside diameter for one of the mounting tabs because of the casting, had to just use a lock washer....seemed like a nice quality vise in general, nice that it has 2 locking screws on the swivel base, swivel seemed smooth, could be a slightly closer fit on the movable jaw bar, but much better than some I have seen in Home Depot
