Once it's on for a little while I don't notice it unless I pull my beard up and smell it. My beard is around 8 plus inches long and it works really well for me. Answer:	Yes in a way. It does help with keeping hairs together. Really depends on your hair type. I have a full beard and it helps thicken it. I use about the size of a finger nail and it works good.

Answer:	Usually this type of wax is made with beeswax and petroleum jelly, but I'm not entirely sure of what's in Firehouse's own brand they say it's a secret recipe but might be able to tell you one way or another. You could give their customer service a bell at : 601-879-0672.If you're looking for something vegan, I hear Foad wax produce an animal-free tash wax called Toad Satin, which might be helpful. Most good stiff waxes utilize beeswax to some degree because of it's hold.
Question:	Can the growth of the beard be promoted? My beard is a bit dry. How's the moisturizing effect
Answer:	I use this on my beard regularly and it's one the very few options that work well for me. My facial hair is thick, springy, and wavy - so the extremely firm hold this offers is a necessity. I use a straightening iron on my beard and 'stache about once per week followed by a fair amount of Wacky Tacky and work (a process of combing while heating & cooling with a hair drier) to hold it. If your hair is as thick and ornery as mine, this should work well.

Answer:	I'd say balm or oil, both should have a similar effect, it really depends on your preference. The Balm kind of breaks down to almost an oil and then you work it in that way. I would leave the wax for styling your beard or mustache, almost like pomade for your hair. The balm/oil will make it softer and relieve the itching and a wax will shape it.

Answer:	Before I started using this product I had an extremely dry and flaky skin underneath the beard growth. Also, I started developing a bald spot on one side about the size of a dime. Sence then(about a month into the use) The hair seemed to start growing back. And now, two or three months into the use there is no noticeable bald spot. Whether or not it was in direct use of the product... The majority of the dryness has gone away. I use it an average of about four times a week and it is noticeably softer with minimal flaking. I swear by this stuff, and to make matters even better, my girlfriend loves the smell of it.
