3 best keyboards computers

Keyboards are essential input devices for computers, allowing users to input text, commands, and other functions into their devices. Here is some information about keyboards and their related accessories:

  1. Types of Keyboards:

    • Standard Keyboards: These are the most common keyboards, featuring a standard layout with alphanumeric keys, function keys, and a numeric keypad.
    • Mechanical Keyboards: Mechanical keyboards use individual mechanical switches for each key. They are known for their tactile feedback and durability.
    • Gaming Keyboards: Designed for gamers, these keyboards often feature customizable RGB lighting, programmable macro keys, and anti-ghosting technology.
    • Wireless Keyboards: These keyboards connect to computers via Bluetooth or a wireless USB receiver, providing freedom from cable clutter.
    • Ergonomic Keyboards: Ergonomic keyboards are designed to reduce strain and discomfort during prolonged typing sessions. They often feature split layouts and wrist rests.
    • Compact Keyboards: Compact keyboards, such as tenkeyless (TKL) or 60% keyboards, have a smaller form factor by omitting the numeric keypad or other features for portability.
  2. Keyboard Layouts: Keyboards can have different layouts based on region. The most common layouts are QWERTY (used in the U.S.), AZERTY (used in France), and QWERTZ (used in Germany), among others.

  3. Key Switches: Keyboards use different types of key switches, such as Cherry MX, Razer, or Logitech Romer-G, which offer varying levels of tactile feedback and actuation force.

  4. Key Rollover and Anti-Ghosting: Keyboards may have different levels of key rollover (how many keys can be pressed simultaneously) and anti-ghosting technology (preventing false keypresses).

  5. Backlighting: Many modern keyboards come with backlighting options, allowing users to type in low-light conditions or personalize the keyboard's appearance.

  6. Keyboard Accessories: Keyboards are often accompanied by accessories, including:

    • Mouse Accessories: These include items like mouse pads, wrist rests, and gaming mice that complement the keyboard for a more comfortable and efficient computing experience.
    • Keyboard Skins: Protective covers that shield the keyboard from spills, dust, and wear.
    • Keyboard Stands: Ergonomic stands that elevate the keyboard for improved typing posture.
    • Keycap Sets: Custom keycap sets with different designs and materials for aesthetic customization.
    • Keyboard Cleaning Kits: Cleaning tools to maintain the cleanliness of the keyboard.
  7. Keyboard Connectivity: Keyboards can connect to computers through various means, including USB, PS/2, Bluetooth, and RF wireless technology.

  8. Specialized Keyboards: Some keyboards are designed for specific purposes, such as numeric keypads, multimedia control, and even specialized keyboards for programming or audio editing.

  9. Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to keep keyboards in good condition. This includes removing dust and debris from keycaps and the keyboard's surface.

  10. Price Range: The price of keyboards varies widely, from budget-friendly options to high-end mechanical and gaming keyboards.

Keyboards are a fundamental part of the computer setup, and choosing the right one depends on individual preferences, typing needs, and intended use, whether it's for gaming, productivity, or general computing. Accessories like mouse pads and keyboard skins can complement the keyboard, enhancing the overall computing experience.

User questions & answers

Question: does it have a full size mouse
Answer: Yes. This gaming keyboard works just fine on Xbox!
Question: Does anyone have a problem with the side number keys not working
Answer: In my experience, the type of mechanical keyswitches matters less than the fact of mechanical switches--compared to the dome-membrane of cheap desktop keyboards, or scissor switches of most laptop keyboards, they last longer and feel better to type on, and you can press more keys at once.
Question: To the seller. cannot find a way to write to seller. why did my package not come with mk270 plug in? cannot use either mouse or keyboard
Answer: Mechanical Keyboard – Advantages Longer Lifespan. Mechanical keyboards have a significantly longer life span than membrane keyboard. Improved Typing Experience / Feedback. A mechanical switch offers way more tweaking options than a simple rubber dome. High Stability / Robustness. Sound Level. High Weight.
Question: My keyboard and mouse didn't come with a USB
Answer: It's L17.32” x W5.71” x H1.18”.

With its distinctive Wave design and Constant Curve layout, Logitech Wireless Keyboard K350 guides your hands into just the right position and conforms naturally to your fingers. Plus, the cushioned palm rest helps position hands comfortably and properly on the keyboard. Together, they can help you type with ease and confidence, but without forcing you to re-learn typing on an unfamiliar layout. And your keyboard is always ready when you need it. Thanks to its long battery life (up to three years*), fast and reliable wireless, and the tiny receiver you can plug once and forget, wireless hassles are a thing of the past.

  • Wave design with Constant Curve layout: Curved layout guides hands into just the right position
  • Ease and comfort: Cushioned palm rest makes work easier and fun more fun
  • Longer battery time: This feature gives you up to three years of battery life. (Battery life based on a calculation of an estimated 2 million keystrokes per year in an office environment. User experience may vary.)
  • Logitech Unifying receiver: The tiny Unifying receiver stays in your notebook, so there's no need to unplug it when you move around. And you can easily add compatible wireless mice and keyboards to the same wireless receiver

User questions & answers

Question: Could it work with the Logitech M570 wireless mouse receiver or should I use its own receiver
Answer: Both should be compatible on one receiver. I am using the same receiver with the MX Master.
Question: what is the range
Answer: I tested 14 feet away and it still works, but I cannot see what I typed. Not sure how far you intent to type from. It is like your wireless router, so it depends on your structure.Per Logitech: Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless: So you can work or play in more places-like your comfy couch-the long-range wireless connection virtually eliminates delays, dropouts, and interference. Learn more about Logitech wireless technologies.
Question: I have the MS Natural 4000, and love its comfort, but it is much too noisy. Is the Logitech quiet? Thanks
Answer: It's so noisy if I forgot to mute during a zoom meeting (attendees complaining), that I was forced to find another option. The Logitech Ergo K860 Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard worked out GREAT.
Question: can it be used with a Mac
Answer: It can be USED with a Mac but none of the keys can be customized like you can on Windows. The best you can do is switch the Windows key and the command key but it's not obvious how. You have to go into the normal keyboard set up (not the LCC) and pick unifying device from the dropdown then switch the keys. BE SURE TO GO BACK TO ALL SYSTEM PREFERENCES AND QUIT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE IN THE PREFERENCES PANEL. If you don't system preferences will crash and the system will become unstable. I actually had my Mac shutdown when I went to the LCC and turned the keyboard on to pair it.
