Answer:	I have been using this product for several years and wanted to address the comment that the pencil only lasts for a few days. That is incorrect. You have to use a sharpener. Admittedly I thought this was an automatic - twist up design at first. But it lasts for several months and provides an invisible barrier to keep your lip color from feathering. I recommend it.

Answer:	According to Covergirl this particular liner must be sharpened in order for the lead to advance. Covergirl recommends you sharpen this lipliner with the CoverGirl Make-up Masters 3-in-1 Sharpener. The smaller hole of the sharpener will fit most pencils. Replace the sharpener when the blade in it becomes dull. Since the barrel surface is smooth, it might be hard for the sharpener blade to engage and start the sharpening process. Keep the liner and the sharpener in a straight line; hold them firmly and twist the liner clockwise. Once you sharpen the liner for the first time, it's just like any other pencil. Hope this helps!
