Answer:	Yes it's really black but I stopped getting this one because it was very clumpy and smeared easy. After many different kinds I finally got the loreal telescopic shocking extensions the blackest one and it's perfect it stays on no smearing and never clumps no matter how much I put on

Answer:	I love and use l'Oreal Voluminous mascara exclusively, but I have found that on me the Carbon Black does smudge. Using the primer helps, but I avoid this color. I haven't experienced smudging with any other color and right now am using brownish black. It's a nice daytime color. (the Carbon Black is a great color for dramatic nighttime use, and it may not smudge on you! Worth a try!).

Answer:	I have bought this many times . It is dark and not to much difference then the black one. I personally think the color is great.

Answer:	The difference is the type of pigment that is used. Traditional mascaras use different oxidation states of iron oxides (black, red, and yellow with the red and yellow being only used in the brown shade). In carbon black the black iron oxide pigment is replaced with a carbon compound that has a much deeper more obsidian appearance. Black iron oxides are naturally occurring minerals and vary on the shade their "blackness" where the carbon black is much more consistently deep black.

Question:	does this mascara have fibers
Answer:	No, it doesn't have fibers. It lengthens lashes very well though. I have short lashes and with this I at least have the appearance of lashes. I do use this New York Maybelline mascara and it does well and doesn't end up under your eyes by the end of the day. If you want a mascara with fibers the only one I know is by a company called Younique. It's a 2 step system. First you put on the mascara/glue, then apply the fibers until you are satisfied and then repeat the layer of mascara/glue to seal the fibers on. If you skip this step the fibers will fall off. If you want fibers, check out Younique online. My niece sells it and it runs about $36 for the set.

Answer:	I love this mascara! It stays put and does not smudge on me! I have been using it for several years and have tried other mascaras, but I always come back to Maybelline Stiletto!!

Answer:	yes, I just spent the day at the beach, swimming in the ocean and then took a hot shower -still there. I wouldn't try scrubbing on it though. To remove it, I use baby oil and cotton balls to wipe it off. I love this brand!

Answer:	Your question was posted a year ago, but I just now saw it because I bought this mascara, which I LOVE! Here is what I do (and have seen on TV since I started doing it). After applying mascara, just before it is fully dried, if your lashes still need a bit more curl (this stuff is great with that, without more effort, though), just take your finger and press your eyelashes up almost against your eyelids. Wait about two seconds. Presto! Curled lashes without using an eyelash curler, which can pull out your lashes.
Question:	It seems that most of the review i have read says, the mascara comes unwrapped and no seal to break. Is this true
Answer:	I've been using this product for a while now and I love it. It makes my lashes nice and long without clumping or flaking. It doesn't make them very thick just really long and pretty. That's the way I like mine. The waterproof is the one I use and I love that it stays on great until you take it off. I remove mine with some coconut oil and it comes off easily. I read that others had problems removing it but I never had. It's a great mascara!

Answer:	I don't find it to be flaky at all...maybe when it gets past the three month mark. I like that it doesn't make my lashes stiff. I usually use this product for weekends because it doesn't go on heavy (just Full 'n Soft!). Hope this helps!

Answer:	I’m really not sure because I don’t see an expiration date or any other identifier as to age. I bought them because I too have liked it for years - it seems to be fine - I still have a couple unopened ones (bought several at one time). Sorry I can’t be more helpful!

Answer:	This mascara lasts very long - it's actually hard to fully get off even with makeup remover which is not a good thing. So it may hold curled lashes well, but I can't personally attest to that

Answer:	I don't find it to be flaky at all...maybe when it gets past the three month mark. I like that it doesn't make my lashes stiff. I usually use this product for weekends because it doesn't go on heavy (just Full 'n Soft!). Hope this helps!

Answer:	Yes, it does. I also find that it 'beads' up on the end. I'm not a big fan of this one. I do like Maybelline LashStiletto a lot. Keep a few q-tips in your bag for a quick clean up during the day. Moisten the Q-tip SLIGHTLY - you can remove the smudging. Also, try Exact Eyelights from Cover Girl but be careful that it's not the waterproof one. I LOVE that mascara. It's never smudged on me!

Answer:	Short Answer: not fully cruelty free because they sell in China. So no, it would not align with vegan beliefs. More Info:They claim “L'Oreal no longer tests any of its products or any of its ingredients on animals, anywhere in the world. Nor does L'Oreal delegate this task to others.” The company has made great strides over the years, even advocating for changes to international animal testing-However, they do sell their products in China where animal testing is mandatory for foreign cosmetics. While the Chinese government has relaxed some of the provisions of their animal testing requirements for cosmetics, it still requires that cosmetics companies pay for painful and deadly tests on animals in order to sell certain types of cosmetics. Answer:	This flakes on me, and covers too much with one swipe. I didn't care for it, but I prefer enhanced, but more natural looking lashes.

Answer:	This particular item is not waterproof however there is a waterproof version. The packaging and print on the mascara tube is blue instead of gold on the waterproof one. I've used it as well. Both are great products. The waterproof, as the name implies, is more difficult to remove so I use it only when I truly need waterproof, like weddings, funerals and swimming!
