Answer:	Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. Our, 10876, Hair Catching Bathtub Strainer with Microban in White center basket does recess in to the drain and has and the outer diameter is raised to assist with drainage and the collection of hair.
Question:	Does it still have a smell
Answer:	Over time, it will stop smelling once you take it out of the package. Give it a week or two. The plastic smell is really awful, and will fill up a room. I'd leave it outside for a week if that's an option for you.
Question:	will this product work with a pop up drain in a bathtub
Answer:	Not without some cutting of the product
Question:	How do you get the hair out from little spikes without picking out each hair individually
Answer:	Thank you for contacting Danco. We suggest turning the hair catcher over and running hot water over the backside of the hair catcher to loosen the hair from the spikes. Once the hair is loosen you can take either a hand towel, paper towel, tissue, or toilet paper to wipe off the hair. Some of the hair may have already come loose while running under hot water so make sure you have a prevention method from going down the drain like plugging the stopper.
