Answer:	Yes it can be washed out, but with a couple of washes. I haven’t found the right shampoo yet to recommend.

Answer:	As with any petroleum based pomade you need to use a shampoo such as DAX removing shampoo. Also a grease cutting dish detergent such as Dawn is a superior way to remove strong pomades. More than one application may be necessary.

Answer:	The voltage should work worldwide, the thing is what kind of contact or plug you have there in China, as the iron comes with the A plug type.

Answer:	For curling the hair. If you try to curl you hair with a regular flat iron you'll see dents in the curl. With the edged plates on this it will curl better.

Answer:	It will snag my hair a little. I try to put a little less hair in when that happens, and that seems to help. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Yes it does! If you want to straighten your curly hair you can use this tool on a low heat setting.
Question:	can you use this on thick/coarse hair
Answer:	My hair is relatively thick and coarse. I wear my hair naturally. You can use it on thick hair but there is no doubt that the teeth of the pressing comb are close together. My humble suggestion would be to prepare your hair thoroughly by combing it out gently but thoroughly with a progression of wide toothed to smaller toothed combs and section the hair in advance to reduce as pulling from detangling as possible.
Question:	Im white, since having kids my very thick hair has gotten very coarse and wavy only in the back and undersides...do you think I could use this
Answer:	Ancestry is never the issue, all ethnic groups have course hair somewhere down the line. I think it would work if you want to straighten it.

Answer:	Yes. I've been using this product for years and it compares to afro sheen from the sixties. That might be before your time.

Answer:	Yes, it's thick but not like vaseline or VO5. It's got hold like a traditional pomade and isn't as wet looking. I use it to calm down my curly hair straight. great stuff.

Answer:	I don't think so as it can clump and wouldnt allow for you to sweat comfortably.

Answer:	Green and Gold would work better for slick backs than Red Dax, but neither of them is designed for that. These two are more for pumps. Green and Gold will work or a slick back if you use a lot of it. Has a pretty good shine, but the scent is awful. Personally, I wouldn't use it for a slick back. There are cheaper alternatives for that and they do a better job. Try using Murray's Superior as your base coat and then follow it up with two or three scoops of Murray's Hair Glo or Murray's Super Light for shine. Dax Green and Gold is to get a mini-Elvis pompadour.

Answer:	Mine worked great, but don’t turn it up to full heat- the conversion causes it to be hotter than the temp settings marked. I usually use the full 410 degrees; I had it at about 300 in Europe witha converter.

Question:	Is the warranty good on the Farouk chi flat irons
Answer:	NO!! After talking to Farouk about the two flat irons I have both having issues I was flabbergasted when they told me that " Their products are not to be sold on the internet and if purchased that way it voids the warranty!" I don't know how they can do that legally but it is even written on the insert in the box. One that I purchased had the plug plastic shatter exposing the wires. The other just stopped working and they would not cover either. I certainly got an education in this matter. The model GF1001 if made in the USA is a counterfeit if made in China it is authentic. I initially purchased two and just found out one is authentic and the other is not. I ordered a new one to replace the one that had the problem with the plug and the nNoteew one is counterfeit. It's hit or miss but no matter what even if it is authentic they WILL NOT warranty it. I am actually researching the legal aspect of not warranting it if purchased on line. The state of CA has very rigid consumer laws and I have a hunch they are violating them. Good Luck! ***they all say "USA" on the outside of the box
