Answer:	I am not sure if it will work in South Africa. It is a useless transformer, which I will have to return: 1. it has a lower power output limit, which means it will not work at all if you don’t draw a lot. I could not use it for my bedside lamps and the USB port- too little power consumption. 2. the technical term might be wrong, but I think it does not change the frequency of the current. That means all tools with motors would not work propwerly. A complete useless thing.

Answer:	There is only one setting, on or off. When it is on, it definitely gets hot. I use this as my travel straightener, my everyday straightner has a dial heat setting of 5-30. This little straightener probably gets to about a level 20!

Answer:	I used it in Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia this summer with adapter plug (NOT converter) and it worked great. Does get hot so you need to be careful. My experience in Italy is that power can be variable at times so you just need to be extra watchful about overheating. But I had no problems in the countries I visited this summer and am pleased with this straightener.

Question:	How big is the barrel of this dryer? I have a diffuser that is 2 1/8" diameter
Answer:	I used this last summer in UK and France. There was some mislabeling and one attachment was consistently difficult to get a plug into; it's a pretty cheap set but it did work.
Question:	How long is the cord
Answer:	Not quite sure what you mean. This Conair product works great. You plug this product into the wall outlet and then plug your cord into it. What my daughter did was plug all her cords into a surge protector and then plug that into the Conair. She had no problems using this product on her travels to both China and Japan. The items she had to charge were her laptop, phone and alarm clock. Hope this helps.
Question:	Any problems with hair being sucked into the back end
Answer:	I think you'll need the TravelSmart converter, not just the adapter plugs. I assume Turkey, like other European countries I've traveled to uses 220V, and the US uses 110. That said, anymore, some appliances (e.g. my hair dryer) and most modern electronics (smart phones) are already dual voltage, and so if your electrical device is already dual voltage, then, yes, this set of converter plugs will enable to you plug your device into U.S. outlets.
Question:	Taking a trip to Iceland, was needing something with dual voltage. Will this work over there
Answer:	Took it to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Worked for us.
