Answer:	Tough to answer this because it could stir up dust if you're sweeping a lot of powdery dust. My experience with sweeping moderate amount of dirt from concrete is not much dust. Less than a push broom would.

Answer:	Yes! It does an amazing job on all types of floors. I have a black area rug in my kitchen. I use my Bissell to keep it clean. It works great and picks up everything.
Question:	It says it comes with a 16ft cord. Is this electric? I don't see where it says it is electric
Answer:	It is not electric. There is no cord. Additionally, I found it under performs its advertising on hardwood floors. That disappointed me as that was my main purpose for purchasing it. It does work well on low pile rug surfaces.
