Answer:	Well the description says the mat is 26” wide and the grommets are set inside that width at the top so I am guessing they are about 24” apart. I bought 2 of these mats, one for each daughter-in-law, and they both love them for the size and plush thickness.

Answer:	The underside is slick, not textured. However, this is a high quality, thick mat. I personally have not had an issue with it slipping on any surfaces I’ve used it. I think it is heavy enough to stay put regardless of surface.

Answer:	This pilates mat by Stott has NO odor at all unless you literally stick your nose up against it, and then the odor is so slight as to be difficult to even describe. Neither my wife nor I can smell anything from it during normal workout positions on it.
