Answer:	I personally wouldn't suggest doing that. Unless you are EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE with working with synthetic hair It's not like human hair at all. The fibers have been manufactured in a way to achieve this look... you may end up destroying it by washing it.😥

Answer:	I just bought mine and haven't needed to touch it up just yet. But I've done so in the past with other units. What may help is if you do bantu knots with foam hair rods. Once the you have them in place then dip the curly wigs for black women in hot almost boiling water for a 30 seconds. Then let it air dry. I've re-vitalized many synthetic wigs this way. Look on youtube for videos.
