Answer:	As far as I know you need the Silex software to virtually plug/unplug the usb devices from the computer. I think what they are reffering to is that you dont need any special USB drivers from the USB device manufacturer.

Answer:	Not sure about Linux, but I've been using different silex units with both windows and Mac computers for the past 4-5 years with zero issues! Couldn't recommend them more.

Answer:	Hello, There are a many differences between the two units. For starters, the standard 5110 is the older model. The 5100A is the newer model that contains some additional management features (SNMP v2c, LLDP, etc). The 5100A also uses IGMP v1/v2 Filter. You can also configure the 5100A with different baud rates (only 110 bps to 230.4 kbs available for the 5110), additional operation modes, and it also had a slighter wider temperature range. The short answer is the 5110A is the newer all around more versatile unit if you have applications that require some of the newer configuration modes and features.

Answer:	I have washed my son's nap mat in a top loader at least once per week for the past 2 years. I use a normal wash, hot water, and dry it with high heat. I wash the pillow insert each week as well in the same load. The only thing that's deteriorated is the tag. My son loves his nap mat, and so do his teachers. I love the ease and durability.
