Question:	Did the recipe change? My cat won't eat the latest batch (exp 6/8/23), but will everything prior. I gave him a leftover older can and he eats it
Answer:	I've owned this fountain since November 2014 and the pump is still going strong. You just need to take it apart and clean it thoroughly every time you clean the fountain. My cats and I love this fountains.
Question:	What's the ash content
Answer:	The 'bubbles' you see are an indicator that you need to clean your fountain and change (or rinse VERY well) your filters more often. There is a difference in aeration bubbles and saliva residue. When your cat drinks, saliva gets into the water dish and is re-circulated through the pump. If you have the residue on your water surface; your pump and filter probably feel slimy to the touch. We have 7 indoor cats that use 4 fountains (stainless steel really is better; the flower brands now have stainless steel bowls (well worth it to replace older plastic ones). Some weeks all of them are slimy, others none are. I take apart and clean them all every week regardless. I use Clorox Clean-up and brushes. After cleanimg, I leave them to soak in VERY hot water with ~1 T vinegar (until water cools), rinse again and reassemble. I replace the filters every week. I also run them through the dishwasher every 4 to 6 weeks so they get washed in water hotter than my hands can bear. This sounds like lot of work, but the benefit to the cats of having clean, running water is worth it. It only takes about 2 hours to do all four. When compared to the weeks we spent at veterinary offices and emergency clinics (not to mention the thousands of dollars we spent and the suffering he went throuh) with one of our males that had a urinary blockage; it doesn't seem like much time at all! Fountains really do encourage cats to drink more water which is necessary for urinary tract health. Therefore, in my opinion, the small amount of extra work they make is a reasonable trade off. Question:	How do I know how healthy this food is, if Amazon does not list the ingredients
Answer:	I work from home, and sit in the breakfast table near the kitchen where this is 10 Ft away, and with no other sounds in the house, the sound of water is quite noticeable, to the point I have to unplug it because it sounds like someone going to the restroom in the background over my headset when I'm on meeting. At night, when I'm asleep, I can hear it from our main floor bedroom 50 ft away. I'm just talking about the sound of falling water -- it's not a mechanical sound. Since I'm home 99% of the time (work from home) honestly it drives me sort of nuts more than soothing me. You won't notice it if you have kids and your house is loud, but you definitely do when the house is quiet during the day or at night.

I find that wrapping Velcro straps around the screen and stand work fine and it’s easy to carry holding the stand; not the little handle on the screen. I just put a strap at each end and it’s fine.

But you should not use the Neutral Ph Cleaner on hardwood, so I have the Zep Hardwood and Laminate Cleaner to use on my hardwood stair treads. It’s a pain to have to keep two products on hand, and I label them very clearly on the bottles to make sure they don’t get used incorrectly. But I trust Zep produces so it’s worth it.
