Answer:	Hello, and thank you for your inquiry. The shields are made of plastic - with a foam plastic interior and a solid plastic skin. We believe that they should hold up fine on an outside door. However, it is possible that the sun will eventually cause some discoloration over time.

Question:	Our faucet is 45 mm, more than the "works best on 24-40 mm." Any chance it will work on this slightly larger faucet
Answer:	It will not happen overnight, unless, maybe, you have a small pool (less than 10k gallons). But maybe over a few days. The electric bill will be high. If above ground, you have to deal with air temperature. If below ground, that tends to run around 60 degrees most places. I have a 40k gallon pool, in ground, inside a glass house, with a motorized cover. My one device was able to prolong the swim time into October (normally getting to cold by September). I considered 3, and the costs was OK, but in November it just got to cold, to often (in Western NC). I may consider actually wiring up a 220 unit, with four water heater elements, attached to a board, and immersed with the connections above water. Needless to say, make sure you unplug your device, and hide the cord (idiots are more persistent than we are). I suspect I will end up with a heat pump for our pool. We are still saving our pennies.
