Answer:	3 inches with the lip that keeps them aligned, but 2 and a quarter without, so a stack would = 2.25 * the number of layers + the height of the lid (2 inches), so 6.5 inches with 2 layers as it comes.

Answer:	This bamboo steamer sits over a pan or skillet of boiling water on the stove & the steam cooks the food. I've found it's best to set the steamer on a metal ring that sits on the pan or skillet (these are sold as an accessory where the steamers are sold) that keeps the steamer's bottom edges from getting scorched. These steamers are not meant to cook food in a microwave.

First one was a 8 quart pot measured 9 3/4" diameter and it sat on top.... the next was a Lodge cast iron Dutch oven measuring 10" and it didn't fall in, but was pretty close. My wife has been using this with a wok. She places a wire rack in the bottom which keeps the steamer out of the water and it works great.

Answer:	Did you put water in with the rice? Usually ratio of 1:1.5 1 cup rice, 1.5 cups water. True with almost any steamer.

Answer:	Yes, there is a warm button, but the cooking water is hot enough to continue to steam for five minutes or so. Keeping food warm has never been a problem. In the bottom part, I take the shrimp or whatever meat I prepared, and put it on a plate. I then put a protective cover on my table and put the upper part of the steamer on it, and serve the vegetables so as to not dirty another dish to wash.

Answer:	Before using for the first time: Wash all pieces with hot soapy water, rinse well and then soak in hot water for 30 minutes. After soaking, steam all baskets and lid for about 30 minutes (while empty). Cleanup: Wash in hot soapy water and rinse well. Allow to fully air dry before storing. These are not dishwasher safe.

Answer:	Well, we use a 14’ large saute frying pan and not a pot. We use our steamer to cook steam muffins. Thus, the inner and outer diameter is never a problem.

Answer:	I'm not sure of the exact height, but I believe steam buns would work just fine in this.

Answer:	I bought the same steamer, and it arrived with no color streaks. I do know that bamboo can have many different colors when it is cut and dried. I live in Florida, where mold is a real problem. I did have one steamer that didn't get dried out enough and it got moldy, but that mold was very black and could be scraped off the bamboo. I personally wouldn't worry about the colors in the new steamer. Make sure after you steam something in it you give it a chance to dry completely before you put it away in a cabinet.all of that said, I love my steamer and use it a few times a week.

This steamer is a definite buy. THe only tip I offer is to keep them separated after use, so that they will dry completely before storage. This will ensure that they stay fresh..

Answer:	I use the bamboo steamer for many things! I steam corn on the cob, carrots, potatoes, asparagus etc!I steam Pork Shu Mei (Chinese Dumplings). I re heat foods! I recently steamed cabbage wedges to be served on the side of Rubin Sandwiches.The most unique that that I may use it for is to steam eggs instead of boiling them for hard boiled eggs, the shells come off very easy and you can make at least two dozen at a shot! It works much better than boiling!I use it at least once or twice a week and if it should be damaged, I'd buy another one!

Answer:	The interior at the top is 3 3/4 inches diameter. It tapers down to about an inch less (2 3/4) at the bottom. It's true stainless steel, as it doesn't rust even though we keep it in the sink to hold used cutlery waiting to be loaded into the dishwasher.

Answer:	There are no perforations at the bottom. I do not know if it rusts as I am using the ones I ordered for a wine holder for a boat.

Answer:	can easily hold 20-30 spoons/forks. I am using as a caddy in a cabinet to hold all my over-sized/rarely used cooking utensils and bring out the whole caddy only when I need them. If you've every been to a school or hospital cafeteria, these caddies are identical to what they use there to house forks/spoons, etc.

BELLA Quick & Easy Pork Buns

Tip: Use leftover shredded chicken or beef as an alternative filling.

Instructions

1. In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar and baking powder. Make well in center; pour in milk, stirring until jagged dough is formed. Add water and oil; stir until combined, adding more water if needed to bring dough together.

2. On lightly floured surface, knead dough for 5 to 7 minutes or until smooth and soft. Place in bowl; cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.

3. Toss together shredded pork, green onions, hoisin, soy sauce and vinegar.

4. Divide dough into 12 portions; roll or stretch each portion into 4-inch round. Place pork mixture into center of each round; gather dough to enclose filling, pinch on top.

5. Line Bella Steamer baskets with parchment paper. Arrange 6 buns on each tier.

6. Set timer for 20 minutes to cook until buns are cooked through.
