They stayed in the top bassinet until they started sitting on their own, and then used the bottom as their bed until they were 18 months to 2 years old before we transitioned them to a crib. We got a convertible crib that turns into a big kid bed. Doing exactly the same thing now with baby #2. I just ordered this bassinet for them. It's the easiest, safest, and most cost effective way to do things in my opinion. I really did consider other options but this is just the best thing I can think of.

Answer:	In the newborn setting (which would be the highest height), the mattress support measures 19 inches to the top of the side and front rails. There are 3 height settings below the "newborn" height...each measuring about 3 inches apart. If my math isn't failing me, it would be 28 inches from the mattress support to the top of the rails in lowest position.

Answer:	It has locking wheels, but if you have this on a hard surface, it will move if the child stands and rocks it (like my 12 month old grandson does). We fixed this by buying those rubber furniture cups and putting them under the wheels. Now it stays very firm and steady on the hardwood.

Answer:	My crib has 3 possible heights for the mattress. The mattress support sits at approximately 14", 19" or 24" from the ground with wheels on 13", 18" or 23" without the wheels. These measurements do not include the thickness of the mattress. It is difficult to measure because the bracket that supports the mattress brings the mattress about 3" lower than the holes that it screws in to. I hope this helps.From the bottom of the leg (no wheel) to the bottom border is 12"

Answer:	I would say yes. I'm 5'4 & it comes to my hips. I don't have any trouble getting kiddos in or out. Plus, the mattress height is adjustable. My mom is only 5'2 & she never has trouble either.

Question:	Is this bassinet jpma certified
Answer:	Hello, I do not know whether it is jpma certified. However in response to the suffocation risk. I think the reviewer above had a defective bassinet because mine does not have that issue. It is completely sturdy and can even hold my own weight for a time when putting my baby down. In order for her not to wake up I have to keep her close to my chest and bend down until she's lying in the bassinet and then I pull my hands out from under her. The bassinet has not shown any signs of crumbling as I briefly put my weight on it. It hardly even moves. We keep it anchored by the straps that you put under your bed. The nonmesh part of the bassinet wouldn't even do much good if it were mesh because that's the part that goes against your bed and your bed is not mesh. Hope this helps!
