Answer: Based on the sizing chart I think it is likely to work. There is a smaller size Z539 which fits 215/45-16. Increasing the wheel size to 17", i.e. tire size 215/45-17 changes the recommendation to Z-547. Each inch of wheel size increase increases the tire circumference by 3 inches. Since 215/45-18 is not the smallest size as advertised to fit, the fit will be better. I have had tires which were the smallest size that was supposed to fit, but turned out to be too long. The chains get easier to tighten on after you use them, so if you are already at the last stop during a trial fit at home, the chains are too big. For our 235/55-18 tires, Z571 was recommended but I think it's too long. So I ended up buying Z563 too. Tire tread pattern will also affect chain fitment, which is another reason why it's good to not be at the edge of the sizing table.
