Question:	Do these run true to size
Answer:	I have a 2 yr-old 60lb pit mix (who hates to get her nails trimmed) and we ended up going with a size 7. Am thinking she is pretty comparable in size to a sharpei, so the size 5 might be too small for you dog too. Hope this helps some.

Answer:	Hey there. First, let me say that I use these muzzles for short periods of time for grooming. A muzzle should never be left on a dog for long periods of time. That being said...for a Staffie, a size six would fit. For the GSD, a size seven would fit.
