Answer:	No, it’s very breathable. I kept it zipped up while inside until my baby was about 4 months. It kept nosy people from peeking in and spreading germs during flu season.

Answer:	As far as keeping the sun out of their face while riding in the car and carrying them in and out of places, yes, it works well for that. But I don’t believe it offers any UV protection, so I wouldn’t leave them out in the sun at the park with just this cover for protection.

Question:	What are the dimensions of the cover? Looking for something longer than 40in/100cm
Answer:	We have a Chico 360 fit car seat and this cover didn’t cover the sides completely. Think a tent over a wire. So yes, if you consider the open sides peepholes then you can see the baby. I personally didn’t like the shorter sides because wind could still whip into the baby.

Answer:	You could probably use it without it but I wouldn’t recommend it. It doesn’t have any shape of its own so it would just lay on your baby. It drapes itself over the cover so I’d say no.

Question:	Would you use this in hot summer months
Answer:	I use it everyday it’s never taken off my sons cats eat unless it’s being washed. It doesn’t get to hot for him but if your in the car just don’t have it covering your baby. When we get out the car we flip it down for the sun not to beam on our son. He’s never overheated with it though.

Answer:	it probably will, however: the material is very thin and almost see through. I would not recommend, it looked very cheap on our Graco car seat and so I had no choice but to return it. Pretty though!
