Answer:	Excellent question. There are a few of reasons: the richer/darker dyes cost more and they take a longer to absorb fully into the cotton fibers. Also, it is harder to be precise when replicating the colors and any cotton fiber imperfections can make the colored towels look blotchy, thus the rejection rate is quite a bit higher with the darker colors. In the meantime, I can email you the certificate if you would like to see it, As a bit more clarity, these towels are Oeko-tex certified which is a European standard assuring that no harmful chemicals or pesticides were used in the growing of the cotton or the processing of the towels. Organic is often considered a subset of Oeko-tex because Organic cotton generally only refers to the cotton.
