Question:	How do I know what ratio to use
Answer:	These are not for wearing to work. I use them mainly for rough hiking and for travel when the number of socks matters more than anything else. 3 pairs and I can be on travel indefinitely - even camping/hiking all around the world. They are very comfortable and they last. I've gone through 3 pairs of hiking boots - using the same sets of Darn Tough socks. That should say enough about their quality. I don't expect to **ever** buy hiking socks again in my life - and I expect to be hiking 20+ more years. So ... if you buy new smartwool socks every 2 yrs, it doesn't take long to pay for these much higher quality socks. OTOH, if you buy 10 pairs for $5 every 2 yrs, then these might not be the socks you seek. I have a bunch of those socks - never wear them anymore.

Answer:	I don’t think so. You just fill it and use it. Put a shop rag over it to avoid dust and bugs. We buy large motor oil bladders. They have a spout to pour into this can. Works great. Saves money too.
