Answer:	Other people are saying yes you can run it with the car off but there’s more too it, the lower you discharge the battery the more it needs to be recharged. That process is what shortens the life of your car battery. If you want to keep your car battery as long as possible I recomend only iseing the inverter while the engine is running

Answer:	Your headphones are (probably) picking up the electomagnetism put off by the inverter. Move away from the inverter and see if it goes away. If not, then insulate your headphone wire. If that doesn't work, then try it with someone else's (preferably new) laptop. Some cheap/old laptops are built with too few capacitors and you probably shouldn't use this inverter. (Alternatively, you could hardwire capacitance into your charging cord). It's also possible that the product is not actually putting out a proper waveform. It works fine on my laptop, so I haven't tested that yet.

Question:	Silly question-just purchased to run pa for an outdoor wedding. Test run great. Could you just buy a separate battery to run from one time
Answer:	That would work until the charge drops to un-usable.. The time would depend on the power usage and time usage .. Similar to how a charge on a trolling motor works.. Also big issue would also be the battery would have to be FULLY charged before starting too!
Question:	Forgot to ask what size studs are on the 12 volt input side? Does this 1100 watt inverter accept the U.S. standard polarized plug now was this fixed
Answer:	Not sure on the stud size but this unit does come with the cable leads already set ip and ready for install. I have the 2000 watt version of this unit. I however upgraded the cables to a heavier cable do to the fact I needed more length because of where I mounted the unit. I run a small microwave of 600 cooking watts and my coffee pot that is also 600 cooking watts. Neither one have worked AS WELL on other inverters as they do with this unit. Now depending n what you are going to run off thus 1100 watt unit , you may want to consider going larger. Appliances such as a microwave , advertise less than they actually use. They advertise the COOKING power. So a 600 watt microwave is pulling more like 800 -900 depending on the features of said microwave. And yes - the plug ins are the standard US household 110v plug. There is also a secondary ground wire you should put in and hook up as well. The kit does not come with this SECONDARY round lead. I personally love my unit. Its the best I have used in 16 years. Question:	Will this run a standard fridge
Answer:	Refrigerator usage is strongly a function of age. The newer it is, the less it uses. I think mine, 4 years old, uses about 300W so it can easily be powered by the inverter. But my big deep cell battery is about 100 Amp hours. That's about 1200 kw hrs so it would only run the frig for 4 hours if it stayed on all the time. It doesn't but still it won't last a day. Still worthwhile, IMHO.
Question:	why is that iam not getting a 110v ac using a multimeter, instead iam getting 86v. is the unit defective
Answer:	I am only getting 58v from the inverter using my volt meter. I plugged in a small fan and it seems that it started to heat up the fan controls and melt the face. I plugged the fan back into the wall and it ran just fine without heating up. I am getting 12.4v at the input terminals and using an AGM 100ah battery. do I have a defective unit? Also, the fan doesn't turn on in the back.

Answer:	What device are you conecting with the inverter ? For this inverter , It can run with most devices less than 2000W, except these inductive loads with coils like fridge , air conditioner , compressor . which draw several times higher wattage under the instantaneous lauch power .
Question:	Will this power a small air compressor
Answer:	An electric motor, at start up, can easily peak at 3 times the normal running amperage. A compressor under pressure can peak even higher. If you can find out the peak amperage for a particular compressor & then buy an inverter that can handle the peak, for the time in which the compressor peaks, then you will be okay. People often run refrigerators off of inverters. Beware, you cannot run 500 watt device off of a 500 watt inverter. The wires offer some resistance, plus most manufacturers seem to be very optimistic about what their equipment can actually run, in real life. Also, beware of using a modified sine wave inverter. It will likely shorten the life of any electric motor. Far better to use a pure sine wave inverter. The compressor motor will not get incredibly hot, like it will when plugged into a modified wave inverter.

Answer:	It cuts off when it sees 10.5 volts at the unit. So yes, it will run on a battery only, no engine. Make sure you use large enough wire between the battery and the unit or the unit will see 10.5 volts with light loads.
Question:	What's the VA rating for this inverter? How does it handle inductive/motor loads
Answer:	1800VA continuous load. It handles inductive loads fairly well, but if you are operating near 1800VA then you may want to look into power factor correction on your motors to help get the most out of it, as well as soft start for any motors over ~1.5 horse power.

Answer:	I own both the SW1000 and the SW2000. I live off the grid and my SW1000 runs 24/7. All of the comments listed appear to be true but there is something that none have taken into account. Suppose you don't have a direct short but a partial short. In which case the fuse will not blow but could very well start a fire. This is common with electronic devices that are in the standby mode. My friends house burned to the ground and the fault was attributed to a TV that was in the standby mode. Suppose you have a partial short of 800W (my toaster is rated at 800W). The fuse will not blow but you could very well have a fire. There is no total primary protection that I know of but the secondary (AC) is well protected. I know from experience. I use a generator at times to charge my four 6 volt deep cycle batteries. I run the generator through a portion of my house wiring (with the appropriate CB thrown). and run a male to male cable from the generator to the house AC recepticle. One time, I forgot to disconnect the male plug from the generator and when I pluged the AC output from the SW1000 into the wall socket, the output of the SW1000 ran into the out jack on the generator. In about fifteen seconds, the SW1000 shut completly down. It sure was a stupid mistake but my point is that it did no damage to my SW1000 (or the generator). The AC output protection circuitry is great. BTW, I use my SW2000 in my 5th wheel in conjunction with four 6 volt deep cycle batteries and it runs my microwave (1760W) with no problem. I keep the batteries charged with two 135W solar panels and a Xantrex 30A charge controller. . I hope this onformatiopn might help. Thank you Amazon.

Answer:	If the small heater is rated at no more than 1 Amp, it should work.

Answer:	This device can handle up to 120 Watts of power to whatever is plugged into it. It works great for low powered devices like cell phones and laptops. If your Hoveround is less than 120 W, then it will work. If it is rated for more, it will likely still work but charge slower than normal. You can also look up the electrical rating of your device which should be printed or embossed on it somewhere to see how many Watts it takes.
