Answer:	The answer is variable depending on the energy draw of the starter. It seems to use a out 10% of the charge on my neighbors Kia who frequently leave her door ajar and drains the battery. Even if starting off another running cars battery, hook up the jumpers and wait 5 minutes, then try. This is not anything with this device, it's just how jumping dead batteries is. If the battery is mildly dead then it may start right up immediately. This thing started my 99 Cherokee 4.0L no prob.

Answer:	No, once you jump it you remove it from the battery. I charge it with the outlet cord. I have been able to get a few jump starts with a single charge. It is great as back up while boating and Jeeping.

Answer:	These packs will provide 12V power, but it's hard to promise you that it will always get you going. A lot will depend on things like did a light get left on for 2 hours while you went to a movie or all night long fully draining the battery? I've done a test myself with a similar pack where I disconnected my car battery (to pretend it was dead) and tried the pack alone. My 4 cylinder car did start, but cranked so slowly I didn't think it was going to as I held the key for 3 seconds. With that experience I doubt this alone could handle a truck with 2 batteries that are both fully drained and even an OEM rep from Clore suggested their next bigger unit (the JNC950). To be honest with you I'd not buy the 950 for $250 when I can get a 35 amp-hour battery like it has for $70 (which leaves me $150+ to buy jumper cables & a charger separately), but that's just me. In any case, don't get too sold on the "1700 peak amps" labels since these are not that big a battery (just as it weighs 15 lbs versus 45 lbs for a real car battery, that's the ratio of power I expect).
